hazzard corner church

3080 Queensborough Road
Madoc, Ontario

Hazzard's Corners Church, opened in 1857, is the oldest Methodist Church in Madoc Township. It became Hazzard's Corners United Church in 1925 and remained part of the Queensborough Pastoral Charge until its closing in 1967. A group of members of the church campaigned to have it designated an historical site and were successful. It is now officially Hazzard's Corners Church, maintained by a board of trustees. We have two regular services each year: an anniversary service on the third Sunday in August and a Christmas candlelight service on the night before Christmas Eve. The church is available for weddings or funerals.
